Minimum Eligibility Requirements

Minimum eligibility requirements for acceptance into the Inova Mount Vernon Hospital Inpatient Rehabilitation Neurologic Occupational Therapy Fellowship include:

  • Graduate of an ACOTE accredited Occupational Therapy program
  • Successful completion of NBCOT exam
  • Virginia Occupational Therapy license must be active by August start date
  • BLS/CPR certification from the American Heart Association completed upon start date
  • AOTA or VOTA membership preferred

Application and Admission Details

Applications are due on May 15th. All applications will be reviewed by the Fellowship Advisory Committee upon receipt and interviews will be scheduled during the months of May and June with a final decision by the end of June. The fellow will begin their rotation in August of each year. The fellow will be responsible for paying a tuition of $3,500.00 within the first 90 days of start date with payment plan options.

*Required supplemental materials:

  • Letter of intent/cover letter
  • Resume
  • Two professional letters of recommendation (new graduates must include one academic letter of recommendation and one letter of recommendation from a previous clinical instructor).
