Minimum eligibility requirements

Minimum eligibility requirements for acceptance into the Inova Mount Vernon Hospital Inpatient Rehabilitation Neurologic Occupational Therapy Fellowship include:

  • Graduate of an ACOTE accredited Occupational Therapy program
  • Successful completion of NBCOT exam
  • Virginia Occupational Therapy license must be active by start date
  • BLS/CPR certification from the American Heart Association completed upon start date
  • AOTA or VOTA membership preferred

Application and admission details

Application time frame is April 1st - June 30th. All applications will be reviewed by the Fellowship Advisory Committee upon receipt and interviews will be scheduled during the month of July. Applicants are notified of decision by August 15th. The selected fellow will begin their rotation in September of each year. The fellow will be responsible for paying a tuition fee of $3,500.00 within the first 90 days of start date with payment plan options.

*For new graduate applicants: Inova requires full licensure prior to start date. Must provide PASSED NBCOT results no later than August 8th.

  • Letter of intent/cover letter
  • Resume
  • Two professional letters of recommendation (new graduates must include one academic letter of recommendation and one letter of recommendation from a previous clinical instructor).
