Eligibility Requirements & Application Process

Program information

The Cardiology Fellowship Program at Inova Fairfax Medical Campus accepts a total of 12 fellows. Given the number of applications received each year and the availability of program signals, we can only guarantee in-depth holistic review of applications that include a signal to our program. We will attempt to completely review non-signaled applications as well as time permits. Qualified candidates will be completing (or already have completed) a three-year ACGME accredited Internal Medicine Residency. It is expected that the candidate will be board-eligible for Internal Medicine by the start of the training program. All interviews will be done virtually.

Application information

Candidates must submit all required information through ERAS. Paper applications are not accepted. Candidates for our fellowship program are selected in conjunction with the National Resident Matching Program (NRMP). Complete applications contain all of the documents listed below:

• Personal Statement
• USMLE Scores
• Current CV
• Three (3) Letters of Recommendation, including one from current program director
