Matt KullMatt Kull is Chief Information and Digital Strategy Officer for Inova Health System, where he manages all aspects of Inova’s technology and digital strategy.

Matt has more than 25 years of experience in technology, with 15 of those years in a variety of healthcare settings including hospitals, pharmacies, and regional oncology and disease management facilities.

Prior to his role at Inova, Matt was the global Chief Information Officer at Cleveland Clinic, a global medical system with more than 200 care sites and 75,000+ employees. He had global responsibility for all digital and technology functions across the enterprise. During his five years there, Matt led the technical expansion of Cleveland Clinic’s footprint to more than 15 sites, including hospital and acute care settings, in the Florida region and the ground-up construction of a world-class 184-bed hospital in London. He developed partnerships leading to industry innovations such as the first IBM Q-system quantum computer deployed in a healthcare setting, as well as the first newly constructed hospital with dedicated 5G infrastructure in the United States.

Preceeding his role at Cleveland Clinic, Matt served as Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer for Parkland Health & Hospital System in Dallas, Texas. While at Parkland, he led technology efforts within the construction of Parkland’s new, fully digital, 2.7 million square foot hospital campus. Upon its opening, this new campus was lauded as one of the most technically advanced hospitals in the world.

Matt has held leadership positions at internationally recognized enterprises including AmerisourceBergen, McKesson and NTT. He has also spent a number of years as a management consultant advising on technology strategy to organizations across multiple industries.

Matt holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the Edwin L. Cox School of Business at Southern Methodist University in University Park, Texas, and is a Certified Healthcare Chief Information Officer (CHCIO). He maintains professional affiliations with College of Healthcare Information Management Executives (CHIME) and Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS). Additionally, he has won numerous industry awards, including CIO of the year awards in both Texas and Ohio.
