Convenient prescription services for all patients and team members

Inova has established in-house pharmacy services for the convenience of patients and Inova team members. Our locations are retail pharmacies where you can fill all of the prescriptions you would at a corner pharmacy.

The pharmacy inventory is carefully selected by our doctors and nurses to meet our patients' needs. We also provide immunizations, non sterile compounding, over the counter (OTC) medications, and home health care supplies.

At Inova Retail and Specialty pharmacy, patients can fill prescriptions for medications that treat chronic conditions such as cancer.

Benefits of Inova Retail Pharmacies

  • Personalized attention: Pharmacists are an important part of your care team. They understand your treatment plan and specific prescription needs, and communicate directly with your doctor when needed. Filling your prescriptions at our specialty pharmacy comes with additional services such as a pharmacy liaison to help you manage your medications and treatment.
  • Convenience: You can get your prescription medications and other health care supplies before you leave the hospital. All patients have the option of listing an Inova Retail Pharmacy as a Preferred Pharmacy. Our pharmacy staff will work with patients, nurses and doctors to coordinate delivery of prescriptions and other recommended products directly to your bedside when you are ready to go home.
  • Cost effective: Prices are competitive with outside pharmacies and medical supply stores. Most major insurances are accepted. Payment is due at the time of purchase and can be made with cash, Visa, MasterCard, American Express or Discover.
  • Specialty medications, which cannot be filled by neighborhood or chain-store pharmacies, can conveniently be filled at Inova Retail and Specialty Pharmacy. For drug information, please see the NIH Drug Information Portal.

Refill prescriptions

  1. Download the RefillPro app via the button below
  2. Within the app, select a pharmacy
  3. Enter a prescription number – all eight digits or scan your bottle
  4. Enter any additional comments – such as requesting mail to home
  5. Select complete order

All Inova Retail Pharmacy locations offer curbside prescription pickup

  • Please call the location prior to your arrival and a staff member will collect payment information.
  • When speaking with staff be sure to mention any over the counter medication you would like to add to your order such as cough and cold medications, allergy medications, vitamins and more.
  • Our staff can assist you with directions and location instructions.
  • Once you arrive at the designated curbside pickup location please call the staff at the phone number provided.
  • Staff will quickly bring your order out to your car.
