Holiday Hours

With the exception of Inova hospitals, Inova Emergency Care and Inova-GoHealth Urgent Care, all Inova outpatient offices will be closed for the Christmas and New Year's Day holidays – Wednesday, Dec. 25 and Wednesday, Jan. 1.

Some Inova care sites have additional closures for the holidays, which will be noted on the relevant location pages. 

Important Program Dates

  • Application Window lasts from February 1 - May 31, 2024
  • We are planning to hold interviews in July 2024
  • Program acceptance notifications take place in Summer 2024
  • Program start date is September 2024

Applications should include graduate school transcripts, a letter of intent identifying why the clinician desires entrance into a residency program, and two letters of recommendation.

Qualified applicants will be contacted by the program director and scheduled for in person interviews with senior committee members. The scheduled interview date will also include a mock patient evaluation. Decisions will be finalized and communicated to selected applicants within several weeks.

This unique scholarship opportunity – "Q"mmunity Scholarship is named in honor of longstanding Inova Physical Therapy Center team member and esteemed residency faculty member Quang Bui, who we lost all too soon. "Q," as he was known to us, fostered an unmatched commitment to the community during his time at Inova while making an impact through service excellence. This scholarship is named in his memory and the legacy of community service and excellence he left behind. We are proud to honor your service Quang "Q" Bui!

Qualified Applicants Must Meet the Following Requirements:

  • Graduate of a CAPTE-approved physical therapy professional school
  • APTA and Orthopedic section membership
  • Valid Virginia Physical Therapy License
  • Current BLS/CPR certification

Applicants are Evaluated Based on the Following Criteria:

  • Academic education
  • Clinical education and mentoring experiences
  • Clinical experience in orthopedic physical therapy
  • Continuing education coursework
  • Interview and references
