About Yoomi Lee, MD

Dr. Yoomi Lee is a specialty care physician board certified in medical oncology, hematology and internal medicine. She joined Inova Medical Group with more than ten years of clinical experience. She has a special interest in the management of gastrointestinal malignancies.

Most recently, Dr. Lee served as a medical oncologist at Maryland Oncology Hematology and prior to that as an attending physician at Columbia University Medical Center.

Dr. Lee has had a lifelong interest in science and became interested in oncology during her undergraduate education at Yale University. Her goal is to help her patients access state-of-the-art multidisciplinary cancer care in a supportive environment.

A native of Seoul, South Korea, and Sydney, Australia, Dr. Lee currently resides in Washington, DC, with her husband and son. In her spare time, she likes to read books, travel and cook.
