About Silpa D. Kilaru, MD

Dr. Silpa Kilaru is a specialty care physician board certified in internal medicine, pulmonary medicine and critical care medicine. She joined Inova in 2025 and has been practicing since 2007.

Prior to joining Inova, Dr. Kilaru was the medical director of the Lung Transplant Program at University Hospitals of Cleveland in Ohio. Before this, she spent 10 years at the University of Pittsburgh as a transplant pulmonologist and director of fellow education for lung transplant.

Dr. Kilaru has a strong interest in lung transplants, ALD and bronchoscopy, particularly for patients after lung transplant. She enjoys working with lung transplant patients and feels that it is a privilege and honor to be a part of their lung transplant journey. Dr. Kilaru’s patient care goal is to always put the patient first and ensure they have care that goes above and beyond, so all their concerns are addressed.
