About Rahel G. Ghenbot, MD

Dr. Rahel Ghenbot is a specialty care physician board certified in urogynecology and reconstructive pelvic surgery. She joined Inova in 2022 and has been practicing since 2015. Dr. Ghenbot has experience in minimally invasive surgery and treats pelvic organ prolapse, urinary and fecal incontinence, and abnormalities of the urogenital tract. She has a special interest in surgical outcomes and quality improvement.

Dr. Ghenbot serves in several additional roles at Inova, supporting the education of medical students as well as OB-GYN residents and fellows. She is the Clinical Rotation Director for the Walter Reed – Inova Urogynecology and Reconstructive Pelvic Surgery Fellowship; the Urogynecology Rotation Director for the Inova OB-GYN Residency Program; and the Associate Director of Research for the Inova OB-GYN Residency Program. She is also an Assistant Professor of Medical Education at the University of Virginia School of Medicine, Inova Campus.

Dr. Ghenbot is passionate about women’s healthcare. She chose to become a urogynecologist because it allows her to significantly improve her patients’ quality of life. She strongly values patient-centered medicine and believes it is important to develop personalized treatment plans that include patients’ individual needs and desires.

Outside the office, Dr. Ghenbot enjoys spending time outdoors, traveling, reading, listening to live music, trying new restaurants, and spending time with family and friends.
