About Ogechi C. Anyaoku, MD
Dr. Ogechi Anyaoku is a primary care physician board certified in internal medicine. She joined Inova 360° Concierge Medicine with over 10 years of clinical experience. She has a special interest in wellness, nutrition and weight management.
Prior to joining Inova, Dr. Anyaoku served as a co-lead of the primary care program and as a site lead at Adventist Medical Group in Fort Washington, MD.
Dr. Anyaoku believes in individualized medicine that treats the whole person: body, mind and spirit. It is very important to her to develop a partnership with her patients that is rooted in mutual respect to achieve great outcomes.
Dr. Anyaoku has an extensive media presence in the Washington, DC, metropolitan area. She has been featured on several radio and news segments for WGTS and WTOP with titles such as “Five steps to better your health” and “Living a heart-healthy lifestyle.” She has lent her expertise to various health blogs and articles such as the Washington Informer and wrote an article titled “Food as medicine” for Your Health magazine. Dr. Anyaoku enjoys engaging with the community, especially on the topic of managing type 2 diabetes, via health chats, presentations and community health fairs.
Dr. Anyaoku grew up in Alaska and Kuwait, which afforded her the opportunity to experience and appreciate different cultures. This has shaped her world view and honed her ability to empathize and connect with people from many walks of life. In her free time, Dr. Anyaoku enjoys exercising, spending time with her husband and children, and traveling.
