Lauren Posey is a doctor of nursing practice and family nurse practitioner. She initially joined Inova in 2017 and has been practicing as a nurse practitioner since 2022.

Prior to her new role, Lauren worked as a nurse practitioner at Advanced Medical GI PC in Reston, VA.

Lauren is a lifelong resident of Virginia. She earned her associate degree in nursing from Frederick Community College in Frederick, MD, her bachelor of science in nursing from Shenandoah University in Winchester, VA, and her doctor of nursing practice degree from Shepherd University in Shepherdstown, WV.

Lauren has primarily worked in the field of oncology, both at Inova Schar Cancer and Johns Hopkins Medicine – Suburban Hospital. She is bringing a depth of knowledge and genuine empathy and compassion to her role at the Inova Wound Healing Centers. She is excited to grow, learn from and collaborate with the amazing physicians and staff at Inova as she embarks on this new phase of her career. As her patient, you will benefit from her gift of demystifying the interventions available by explaining them in a relatable way. Lauren is excited to use her medical expertise and specialized support to help you define and attain your wellness goals.

Lauren believes a work/life balance is integral to wellness. In addition to practicing the art and science of medicine, she enjoys tending to her flower garden, kayaking and restoring furniture.
