About Laura M. Linville, MD

Dr. Laura Linville is a specialty care physician board certified in internal medicine and medical oncology. She joined Inova in 2025 and has been practicing since 2018.

Before joining Inova, Dr. Linville completed her internal medicine residency at George Washington University in Washington, DC, where she served as chief resident. She then pursued fellowship training in medical oncology at the Johns Hopkins University Sidney Kimmel Cancer Center in Baltimore, MD, where she also served as chief fellow.

Dr. Linville specializes in the treatment and management of genitourinary cancers, with a focus on prostate and kidney cancers. Her early career research has centered on clinical trial design and the development of genomic and molecular biomarkers. She is also dedicated to medical education and mentoring the next generation of physicians.

A native of the Washington, DC area, Dr. Linville is committed to advancing research in genitourinary oncology while providing compassionate, evidence-based care to patients across the DMV. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, playing tennis, traveling, and hiking with her dog.
