About Kathryn A. Ivey, FNP
Kathryn Ivey is a board-certified family nurse practitioner. She joined Inova in 2016 and has been practicing as a nurse since 2019.
Kathryn was born and raised in Fairfax, VA, and began her career as a clinical technician in the PACU at Inova Fair Oaks Hospital. Prior to becoming a nurse practitioner, Kathryn spent six years as a registered nurse on the cardiovascular stepdown unit at Inova Fairfax Hospital.
Kathryn believes that the best outcomes are achieved when patients and providers work together as a team. She is committed to patient education and continuity of care – guiding patients from preoperative preparation for cardiac surgery through postoperative recovery.
In her free time, Kathryn enjoys spending time with her family, reading and being outdoors.
