About Hyun Jeong Cho, NP

Hyun Jeong Cho, who goes by “Jin,” is a nurse practitioner. She joined Inova in 2023 and has been working as a nurse practitioner since 2022.

Prior to joining Inova, Jin worked as a nurse practitioner in the Neurology ICU at Duke University Hospital in Durham, NC.

With a background in critical care in neurology, Jin enjoys caring for patients with acute stroke and head trauma. She finds it interesting and rewarding to see patients in the clinic after they have recovered from the acute phase of their illness. She enjoys working with elderly patients and patients who come from various cultural backgrounds and looks forward to connecting with them all in the clinic setting.

Jin cares for her patients as if they were her own family members. Living with health issues brings a lot of vulnerabilities into people’s lives so she always tries her best to understand her patients’ struggles and to meet their needs. As she is transitioning from the ICU to clinic, Jin hopes to have more interactions and conversations with her patients. Her goal is to always provide the best care that is tailored to the individual patient, and she hopes to make mutual clinical decisions with her patients.

Outside the office, Jin loves to run and has joined a club to run consistently. She also loves to read at local coffee shops on her days off and loves running into cute dogs, which always makes her day.
