About Dana C. Rice, MD

Dr. Dana Rice is a specialty care physician board certified in urology at Inova Health System. Dr. Rice has been working in Northern Virginia as an attending physician since 2013. She practices as a general urologist with clinical areas of interest in endourology, stone management, robotic surgery, benign prostatic hypertrophy (BPH) management and oncology. Dr. Rice is dedicated to patient care and the medical community and is an active participant in hospital committees.

Dr. Rice achieved the UroLift® Center of Excellence designation in 2022. She is one of the first females on the East Coast and the first surgeon at Inova to achieve this recognition.

Dr. Rice has worked with technology companies to help create and edit information systems for patient education. Her app, UTI Tracker®, was a passion project to help reduce misinformation about urinary tract infection (UTI) management. Dr. Rice plans to continue with similar ventures for BPH education with community outreach in addition to blogs and social media work.
