With the exception of Inova hospitals, Inova Emergency Care and Inova-GoHealth Urgent Care, all Inova outpatient offices will be closed for the Christmas and New Year's Day holidays – Wednesday, Dec. 25 and Wednesday, Jan. 1.

About Courtney A. Quinn, MD

Dr. Courtney Quinn is a specialty care physician board certified in orthopedic surgery at Inova Health System. She specializes in sports medicine and injuries of the knee, shoulder, foot and ankle. Her clinical areas of interest include ligament, meniscal and cartilage injuries of the knee, patellar (knee cap) instability, shoulder instability, rotator cuff tears, shoulder arthritis, and foot and ankle sports injuries.

Prior to joining Inova, Dr. Quinn completed her orthopedic surgery residency training at Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia, PA, followed by a sports medicine fellowship at the University of Virginia (UVA). Dr. Quinn also completed a mini-fellowship in foot and ankle surgery at The Steadman Clinic in Vail, CO, where she helped care for the U.S. Ski Team.

Dr. Quinn is the head team physician for the Loudoun United FC, team physician for the Washington Spirit, medical consultant for DC United, and a team physician for George Mason University’s 30+ Club Sports teams. She was named as Washingtonian Magazine's “Top Doctor” in 2023. 

She has a particular interest in, and extensive experience treating, patellar instability. She performs complex reconstructions including trochlear groove deepening (trochleoplasty), tibial tubercle osteotomies, distal femoral osteotomies, cartilage restoration and soft tissue procedures. 

Dr. Quinn grew up in the Washington, DC area and attended Georgetown University School of Medicine. She and her husband enjoy traveling and staying active by hiking and skiing.
