Inova Urology provides compassionate, patient-centered and innovative healthcare for urologic conditions for Inova Health System. Our practice continues to grow to meet the needs of all the patients we serve, in our community and beyond, at our five Inova locations. Our providers have specialty training to allow for comprehensive evaluation and treatment of a wide range of genitourinary health conditions. Our physicians and providers are actively engaged in patient care, teaching and research to further the knowledge and treatment of urologic diseases.

Our Services

Inova Urology offers advanced techniques for the evaluation and management of genitourinary conditions. This includes:

• Minimally invasive robotic surgery for the treatment of benign and malignant conditions of the kidneys, adrenal glands, prostate and bladder
• Comprehensive evaluation of urinary incontinence and dysfunction through video urodynamic testing and both surgical and nonsurgical treatment options
• Benign prostatic hyperplasia treatments ranging from medical therapy to surgical techniques such as prostatic urethral lift, transurethral resection of the prostate, holmium laser enucleation of the prostate and robotic simple prostatectomy
• Elevated prostate-specific antigen (PSA) evaluation with MRI fusion prostate biopsies and advanced genomic testing
• Treatment for men's health conditions such as Peyronie’s disease, surgical and medical management of erectile dysfunction, and testosterone replacement
• Kidney and bladder stone prevention and treatment with laser lithotripsy, ureteroscopy, extracorporeal shockwave lithotripsy and percutaneous nephrolithotomy
• Urologic reconstructive surgery
• Urologic scrotal surgery for testicular masses and scrotal swelling (e.g., hydroceles, spermatoceles)
• Adult circumcision
• Elective sterilization evaluation and treatment with vasectomy

Inova Urology also works closely with their colleagues in medical and radiation oncology to provide multidisciplinary, comprehensive cancer care for kidney, ureter, bladder, prostate, urethral, testicular and adrenal cancers.

Our Commitment to Education and Advancement of Knowledge

Many of our providers are engaged in research and education with faculty appointments at the University of Virginia for education of students as well as engagement in the education of family medicine residents.
